Who doesn’t like an old fashioned serving of spaghetti and meatballs in tomato sauce?
Especially now where the winter is knocking on the door.

Don’t fall for the temptation and buy a can of pre-made stuff, that’s pure blasphemy.

So, make it yourself, dead easy.

Throw a chopped onion and two minced cloves of garlic in a pot with a little oil.
Cook until the onion is soft, not brown though.

Chuck in a can of chopped tomatoes, some dried basil, oregano, salt and pepper.
Add a pinch of brown sugar.
Put the lid on and cook for half an hour.

While the sauce is cooking, grab your favourite sausages. It can be pork or beef, all up to you.
Squeeze the filling out of the sausage and make small balls of it. Wet your hands so the meat doesn’t stick.
Fry the balls on a frying pan.

Run the tomato sauce through a blender or food processor until it is smooth and add salt and pepper to taste.
Add the fried meatballs to the sauce and there is your meatballs and tomato sauce much better that the stuff you buy.
